Toastworks recording studio
started in 2002 as a small project studio in sunny, Milford, CT. Various
things have taken me to central Texas.
The studio is a fully digital workstation with pristine-quality tube and solid-state microphone preamps, and a full complement of various microphones, both dynamic and condenser.
Style-wise,
I do anything. I have experience anywhere from rock, metal,
hip-hop, country, to just about anywhere in between. My goal
is to capture what you sound like as faithfully as possible.
I
can sit back and simply record what I hear. Or, if you'd
like, I can assist with the creative process, arranging and streamlining
your music.
I find myself taking an active interest in my
clients' music and if they want my suggestions, I offer them.
Otherwise, I keep my mouth shut. I know how annoying unsolicited
opinions can be while recording.
I want the final result to be good -- just as
much as you do. |

I can also double as a studio musician. I can create an entire band (of real instruments, not samples) on your recording if you're a solo act that wants to create the sound of a full-band.
The studio is equipped with a basic compliment of various instruments. Always make arrangements before the session to let me know what you'll need. Don't assume they will all be there every day.
Studio rates:
Recording, Tracking, Mixing, or Mastering: $40 / hr
Producing, or providing musical accompaniment is included in the price.
I choose not to work by a per-song or per-album rate because, invariably, either the artist or the engineer somehow gets screwed. Hourly rates will not stifle the creative process. And besides, if you're good, you'll get your session done quickly.
