"The Powderkids" is about Lucas, a college student who dreams of becoming a writer and after being placed on academic probation, is forced to apply for extra credit and a chance to get his scholarship back. Lucas gets the chance to write to bring up his grades and reinstate his scholarship. It's Lucas' return that reunites him with high school friends, his diminished relationship with his mother, the city he left behind and the story that he's been looking for.
