Chapter 1:  The Early Years

While BBS'ing, Dave learned of Ralph's virtuosic (and sometimes, deafening) drumming. While cruising the halls of Foran High School, he ran head-first into Brian. After proclaiming how inconsiderate Dave was, he told Dave of his love for bass guitar. He invited both Ralph, and Brian over, and told them to bring some instruments.

Date: Late Autumn, 1995 - Location: Dave Novak's old house in Woodmont, Milford, CT.  More Precise Location: The Basement.

They played for approximatley two hours. They had no idea what they were doing. None whatsoever. They disgraced bands such as Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, maybe some Weezer.  What was simply amazing was for a good two minutes, they made thier first orignal. Date: March, 1996 - Location: The Loft

The Loft was a virtual fortress compared to the cramped room they were stuffed into before. Atop a two-car garage, and surrounded in very thick brick, there was nothing that could stop these three guys from playing as loud as humanly possible. Or so they thought...

A gentleman who fronted the band "Psychic Water" already had Ralph on the drums. Ralph thought it would be a kind gesture to suggest Dave as a replacement guitarist, as they were in need of one.

Psychic Water sucked the creativity and practice space right out of SiMent.

Psychic Water sucked.
