http:/www.vitamintramp.com It's official. Ralph made a site for the once-imaginary band. Sometimes it's just Ralph and Dave on guitar. Somtimes there's other people. Often, it's confusing. www.preciousjohnson.com Although this is kind of cheating, and definitely incestuous, check this band out. If not only because Dave plays drums in the band with some old chums, ok?
http://www.saffronmusic.com Our "female counterparts of powerpop", these gals create a great harmonic sound. It's like, SiMent, but they're girls. No wait.. don't picture that. That's not doing them justice at all. And it probably gave you a headache. Just go check them out. http://www.donemamaproud.com Saffron's bastard son? No. A damn good original classic-rock band? Indeed. Dave described them as this weird blend of Frank Zappa and Tom Morello from Rage and all this other stuff that I can't really remember, so let's just say they rock and leave it at that.
http://www.ironheadmusic.com/ HARD. Keyword is HARD, here people. HARD ROCK. Plus, their bassist kindly spins us on his radio show on WSAM. http://www.anneheaton.com She's sultry. She's a damn fine pianist. Wait, this sounds like a Wesley Willis song. Anne is a diva in the eyes of SiMent. You might like her, or you might not. http://members.tripod.com/~mitchzaavo/ These guys are cool enough to be mod, except they don't want that moniker. It's a good thing, too, cause that's a crappy moniker. They're better without it. They play good rock and roll music that you will like. Partially from Boston, partially from New Haven. Hope you get to see them. |
http://www.conncept.com A great organization bringing together musicians, clubs, promoters, and virtually everyone who has anything to do with music in CT. Just about every band that calls CT it's home (including SiMent) is on Conncept's roster of artists. Anther place to find our MP3s and gig schedule, too. As well as everyone else's. http://www.clubct.com Besides having a comprehensive listing of bars and other venues related to the nighlife scene, CLUBCT.COM provides a listing of local band gigs and information, as well as sponsoring a local band of the month (SiMent was the featured band back in September '99).
http://www.listen.com SiMent got a little review here.. a good site to listen to lots of MP3s of signed and unsigned acts. http://www.allmusic.com Literally, everything you've ever wanted to know about most of the musicians and bands out there. |
